Billing and Insurance:

• Dr. Birnbaum does not accept direct insurance payments, though the office will provide all necessary documentation for accessing out of network benefits.

• Fees associated with treatment are commensurate with other psychiatrists in the metropolitan area.

• Individuals who have out-of-network mental health benefits often find that their insurance company will reimburse between 30-80% of the therapy fee.

• To find out if your insurance company will reimburse you for a portion of treatment, you may contact your insurance company directly, or reach out to us and we will help guide you through the process.

Collaborative Therapy:​​

• Dr. Birnbaum welcomes the opportunity to work with other healthcare providers and therapists to provide effective treatment, upon client preference.

• Sometimes Dr. Birnbaum will recommend a form of therapy that she does not provide and will refer you to a clinician who can offer that service.

Cancellation:​​

• Dr. Birnbaum has a strict cancellation policy: clients will be responsible for 100% of the session fee unless 24 hours / one business day's notice is given to Dr. Birnbaum.
